Bio

VADM (ret) KARI TAKANEN
DA-Group Senior Advisor

Vice Admiral, ret’d, Kari Takanen retired from the Finnish Defence Forces in 2017 after 40 years of active-duty service. He is a naval officer who has held various positions both on naval ships and ashore, including being commanding officer of a fast attack craft (missile) and Commander of 7th Missile Squadron. Takanen served several times at the Navy Command in operational tasks, as Commander of the Archipelago Sea Naval Command and as Commander of the Finnish Navy. 
 

Vice Admiral Takanen has also served in joint positions at the Defence Command, such as aide-de-camp to the Chief of Defence, Chief of Current Operations (J3) of the Defence Command and Chief of Planning (J5) of the Defence Command. His last position before retiring was the Chief of the Defence Command, including being the deputy to the Chief of Defence. Vice Admiral Takanen graduated from the Naval Academy in 1981. He is also a graduate from the Finnish General Staff Course in 1991 and graduate from the US Naval War College (NCC) class 2003.

JARI MIELONEN
Executive Vice President, Insta Group Oy

Mr. Mielonen took up his position on April 1, 2017 at Insta. Mr. Mielonen brings to Insta more than 20 years of experience in leading international software companies and growth business development in international high tech industries. 

Most recently, he served as the acting President and CEO of Fujitsu Finland and Baltics, heading at the same time Fujitsu Business Application Services Nordic and Nokia global account management. Before entering into Fujitsu, Mr. Mielonen had a long experience of heading NASDAQ listed software companies as President and CEO. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Board of AFDA, National Emergency Supply Agency, Military Pool and Chairman of FISC.  
Previously, he has been advisor for Singaporean Government and Chairman of the Board of Affecto Ltd. Mr. Mielonen holds a Master of Science in International Business.
